Following last week’s 9-0 drubbing at the hands of Kuwait, Taiwan lost by five goals to nil in Amman.
Jordan made a lightning fast start and got their first goal in the fourth minute as Baha Faisal slipped through to score from close range.
After conceding the early goal Taiwan’s confidence and organisation visibly collapsed. Jordan dominated the ball and were two-nil up midway through the first half after a curling drive from outside the box by Ahmed Ersan.
When Salem Al Ajalin added the third just before half time, the game was effectively over as a contest. Jordan continued to look vastly superior against a woefully out of sorts Taiwan as simple passes went astray and the defensive line became increasingly shambolic.
Jordan completed the rout with second half goals from Hamza Al Dardour and a second effort from Faisal.
